David has served in ordained ministry in the Presbyterian Church USA for over 25 years. In addition to his calling as a pastor he is a teacher, author, clergy and church leadership coach, speaker and presenter, and blogger. His passion is to help people be in intimate relationship with Jesus so they can answer Jesus’ call to think like him, love like him, and live like him. David has an MA and PhD in communication from the University of Texas and an MDiv from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He’s also an International Coaching Federation-trained coach. Prior to answering the call to ministry, he was a university professor on the faculties of Texas Christian University and the University of Missouri. He loves the mountains, cycling, reading, all kinds of music, and—as proof we live by faith and not by sight—the Chicago Cubs. His wife Terry is an Interior Designer and, together, they have two adult children. David has served as Pastor and Head of Staff at Central since 2011. circleemail
